My luck ran out after many months of having nice guests only. Most of my guests are fine, but there are occasional ones who are a pain.
Guest 1: complained that the walk to the beach was too long, and she thought because I included a beach picture, the studio was at the building shown in the beach. I gave her a token compensation (the cost of a couple of drinks at a nearby bar) as an apology and explained how she could have misinterpreted, and I would be more clear with others in the future. Her complaints would not stop. So she got a 1* for communication and house rules.
Left review 2 minutes before deadline. She did not write me a review. Now she is mad, because she thought I had “apologized” for my error. I just didn’t want to argue with her even though I was right. She wrote an extremely long and defensive response.
Guest 2: She complains that the hot water ran out. Yes, of course it runs out if you take a 15-minute shower. Then she complains about the Wi-Fi not being fast enough for her work (this is already disclosed) and demands compensation. I sent a change request for a small amount. I never accepted the change request.
I left 1* for comm, house rules a few minutes before the deadline… no review from her, but she posts an angry reply on her own profile.
Feels good about doing the right thing in leaving an honest review about their behavior.
