I think the front yard is nice for sitting out and seeing the neighbors But the backyard could be a private outdoor dining area. Put the grill there with a table and chairs for the privacy. or a table with a gas Japanese type grill in the middle. If a round table doesn’t fit try a picnic table. Low voltage led Edison bulbs streaming overhead.
Also a good place for games on nice day like ring toss yard games
