Not necessarily. The hosts review doesn’t post until the guest submits theirs. I’ve tried to “warn” hosts but the guest didn’t review so two weeks went by before my review posted. By that time the trip is probably done.

The point of waiting until the last minute is to hope that the guest doesn’t leave a review at all. If the strategy is successful then you won’t ever see anyone “point to a positive gain” since no one can definitively say that the guest didn’t leave a review because they didn’t get the hosts notification of a review until the last minute. You can’t prove a negative. That said, there are people here who have posted that they waited until the last minute and they believe it works.

Yes, we are all annoyed.
