I tried to open account, but canā€™t without texting. My phone is set by work for emails and calls only. We have privacy issues to consider. I donā€™t need my own cell.

I donā€™t know whatā€™s more surprising: that airbnb responded in 10 minutes or that you canā€™t text. LOL.

The texting thing is a mixed blessing. Iā€™m already inundated with emails and phone calls, but many internet things require text confirmation. When I was in Portugal my Skype account had issues, I could only fix it with text, so I had a friend in Canada allow me to use her number, then she emailed me the confirmation from skype,
