Has anyone encountered an AI Bot posing as human customer service rep? It kind of dawned on me when this thing for about the third time called me when there was absolutely no need for a call, and during the call, like a robot, it repeated over and over what my inquiry was about. I asked it if it was human or a bot, and it wouldn’t answer, ignored the question. I researched this, and yes AirBnb is now using AI Bots for customer service. There is no law that says they have to identify the customer service rep as a Bot and if you ask the Bot if it’s human, there’s no law to prevent it from lying to you.
I’ve never had a call from Airbnb except once when they were dealing with an issue for me. That was a couple years ago.

I receive so many scam calls and emails these days, and considering Airbnb doesn’t really have proactive customer service anymore…
… if I ever received a call from Airbnb, I’d presume it to be just another scam and simply hang up.
That’s why this was so strange. Their e-mail response to my inquiry was satisfactory and then the bot calls. It happened twice.
