I currently have a 27% cancellation rate under Performance- all cancelled by guests. Is there a separate cancellation category for the host? I have frequently read here that one loses Superhost for falling below a 3% (?) cancellation rate & don’t see a separate “cancellation by host” category. I’d sure appreciate a little clarification- thanks!
Yes. Cancellation rate under Occupancy and Rates is the percentage of total confirmed reservations that were cancelled by you or your guests, per the blurb to the side. It goes on to say that this is important because it is a factor taken into account for Superhost status.
Mine there is 26.7%. People were cancelling like mad recently because of covid uncertainty, had to work, dog got sick, mother-in-law got sick, etc. Nothing to do with me.
When I go to the Superhost tab I find my host cancellation rate is 0% and that’s what counts for Superhost no matter what the blurb in Occupancy and Rates whispers to shake you up. It’s in the Superhost tab that you find the separate cancellation-by-host category and that’s the one that can hurt you.
