We live in a 3 unit condo, and we have vermont mutual insurance for the exterior areas of the condo. We have Geico for our home. Our neighbors want us to do airbnb in our primary residence only if it is covered by the insurance, but so far it is not. Their reasoning is that if something went wrong in any one of the units, just the information that we are doing airbnb would deny our claims. Although I am not so sure of that.
We need condo insurance that would also cover short term rentals. Does anyone know of companies that offer such a policy? So far my search has only found short term rental insurance specifically, and brokers are not aware of/not helping with the search for a condo master insurance that covers STR.
