Charity collection boxes

Hi everyone,
My wife and I are vegan and big animal lovers. After 18 months of successfully renting our Cape Town villa, Casa Bianca, we thought of giving back to the community. Specifically the multitude of animal welfare/rescue organisations that exist in Cape Town. Question: Have any of you had experience of leaving charity collection boxes in your properties for guests to leave loose change and/or larger donations? Will guests feel too pressured to donate? Might it get stolen? Any experience or advice you may have would be most welcome. Thank you. Eric
