I started using a PMS to collect a security deposit from guests. Its gone so well that I haven’t needed to charge a guest yet. I have my first instance where I need to keep the deposit. I think its a pretty cut and dry case of a new hole in the wall. I have pictures day of but before check in (no hole) and after check out (now a hole). Guest is denying causing the hole, stating it existed before check in. Has anyone ever dealt with a chargeback against keeping the damage deposit? Did you win? How detailed did the dispute get from the banks perspective?
