What an awful thing to happen! The part I find scary is that the landlord had a record…and was listing on AirBnB. We all know AirBnBs vetting sucks, but…Wow!
It’s difficult one. It’s a second hand account.
And I’m not sure the police in England would disclose a previous record to the victim.
Seems a strange one that someone who runs an airbnb management company would risk their business by doing this.
But of course certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that an arrogant company would do this .
I would also take this with a grain of salt. It’s a second hand account written by a parent. They are likely to take their son’s story at face value, which may not be the total truth. And if the son was old enough to book an Airbnb, why is his parent posting this instead of him? I would be suspicious of a helicopter parent’s second-hand report.
Which is not to say it might not be accurate.
