Just a heads up for those of you listed on BDC (booking. com) - they are gradually rolling out their new policy of charging commission on the total, and not just the nightly rate.
I called them because when I signed up many years ago, they only offered the nightly rate to be taxed. So…I had to include my clean fee lodging tax into the clean fee total…same with TripAdvisor. But if they begin taking commission on that, then they are taking 15% of clean fee lodging tax that I merely collecting and remitting for the state.
They did tell me there is now an option to have clean fee taxed separately so they fixed it for me. I’m sure many of you already know this, but I don’t really keep up with all the changes on BDC.
