So my son likes to pick up random things he finds on the ground (I know…)
He came back with a nice Airbnb pen. I need pens anyway. Is there any place to buy these sort of things? Maybe a notepad to write the welcome message on, or other little branded doodads? Where do they come from?
We give our guests free pens and 25-page notepads with our contact information.
I designed and ordered these guest souvenirs through cheap online printing companies. The cost per-pen is 19-cents, and each 25-page notepad is $1.10.
Because our rental unit is in a mountain community, I chose a mountain-forest background for the pens. However, it is difficult to read the text against the busy background image.
Guests do love a welcome gift or a little freebie to make them feel special! Pens and notepads are cute, and here are a few more ideas for the pot!
Get some labels printed with a photo / details of your rental on, get a load of plain notepads and fashion your own bespoke giveaways.
Use the best photo you have and create your own postcards - leave a few out for your guests (suggest they keep one as a reminder of their stay maybe leave a couple of stamps too so they can post those out).
Use your bespoke labels to decorate a bag of homemade treats e.g. cookies, or source local goodies e.g. a great local cheese or wine - affix a postcard to the packaging and wish your guests a pleasant stay (this is also a good way to promote local businesses - maybe they can do the same for you)?
when I had my pet shop, I loved personalised things, but managed to lift myself to business cards, bags, and pens. I chose quite nice pens, grey and chrome, I think they were 50p each if I ordered 100. They were so nice, I didn’t give any out.
And after that order, the company would try and get repeat sales off me, and would occasionally send a personalised pen of a different style, which I also loved.
@GardenGnome On the only local meeting I attended for Airbnb hosts, pens and t-shirts with the company’s logo were given out (free) to attendees. However, I never mention or make reference to Airbnb when dealing with guests…
