Anyone experience hosting in Scotland? (edinburgh)

Hi there!

I am linda, 22 year old Dutch citizen who randomly decided to move to Edinburgh to live with her boyfriend because I could.
Now the plan is to rent out one of the rooms of the house we will be living in.
My question to you guys is if i have to keep in mind any scottish regulations concerning rental taxes, income taxes etc?
Because of my Dutch background everything here is new to me.
I hope you can help me!

If you own the property then you can make a spare room income of £4,250 tax-free. If your earnings go over that then you must declare this as a form of employment and the earnings will be added onto your regular job earnings and you will be taxed accordingly.
