Alteration fees

I have a guest who made a reservation two days back for April 23 to April 26 and now she wants to change it to April 24 to Apr 26. It is less than 24 hours before check in. The reason she stated was because she couldn’t get a suitable car to come to our place on Saturday. What do you do when a guest requests to alter a reservation and cut their reservation short? Do you charge a fee because technically they have blocked some of your calendar?

My cancellation policy is set to strict.

In that case, let them call in to cancel the extra days.
