I’m looking at changing my home insurance policy and have narrowed it down to Allstate and Prosper. Allstate is about $300 cheaper, but their documents are very confusing so i can’t be sure what exactly is covered.

Has anyone had experience making a claim as a host?

Given the newness of the coverage (and I don’t know if it’s available in every state) I’d be surprised. I can tell you if anyone has they are keeping it to themselves as we’ve had dozens of threads about insurance here.

It will be interested to see if they cover Florida. Most insurance companies do not, because of our history with hurricanes…
