Airbnb trip length requirements - super confusing!

Does anyone find Airbnb’s language super confusing?

I want to set up the following:

  • Global minimum stay is 1 night
  • Minimum stay for a Fri or Sat checkin is 2 nights
  • There are a few nights in my calendar where a weekend night is already booked. I want to set those minimums to 1 night.

Is there a way to do this? Air’s language is really confusing:

During December 2017 – February 2018, guests stay for minimum 2 nights.
They can only check in on Fridays.

I don’t want to only limit check-ins to Fridays. Am I just misreading this?

If a slot is already booked, I don’t believe you can change in minimum night stay.

YES you can do this, but it may not be super easy.
If you have the ability for “Rule Sets” it is a bit easier. Last time I mentioned “Rule Sets” it seemed that not everyone had access to to them.

Go to your calendar. Highlight Fri/Sat/Sun on an empty weekend.
On the right side go to “rule sets”

Once in there, scroll down to “Availability”, and then select “customize” on Trip length. Then you can see the “Check-in and checkout days”, select “Customize” on that.

You should be able to apply that rule set to your entire calendar, then go in and find your 1N stays on a Friday or Saturday, and just remove the rule, then your default 1N minimum would be in place.

There is another way that is more manual that I can describe - so please let me know if you don’t have Rules Sets, and I will describe the other more lengthy way.
