Guest tried to make reservation, reservation said “awaiting payment” requisite 24 hours passed, another 72 hours passed, my calendar is still blocked, I called airbnb and have been told their engineering team is working on a technical issue that is blocking calendars. The reservation was for mid June-late August, so my calendar is blocked for that whole time! I hope they fix it soon! Anyone else experience this?
Regardless of what Airbnb said, it’s also possible that this is some kind of actual problem with their payment. Airbnb is not a good platform to use for long bookings. This guest could get tenant rights after a month and you could end up with a squatter.
You should search the forum for other posts on this topic. Other people have had this issue and about half the time no reservation happens.
