Hey all, check out your rental’s new front page. They’ve enlarged and moved your photo to the left and added underneath what year you started hosting.
I was looking at local listings when I noticed this, little later went back and it was back to normal. Just looked again, and it was changed.
What do you think?
I don’t see any changes yet. I suppose a complete roll-out could take a while.
I didn’t notice that, but yesterday one of my listings was modified from taking bookings 90 days out to fully open, and I got 2 booking for next summer I’m now trying to get Customer Disservice to cancel. I may not be the only one with the problem. The nice Filipino call center guy was having trouble reaching the folks that can supposedly fix the problem.
This is not the first time they’ve opened listings when I want them blocked or closed — the last time cost me Superhost because I didn’t know until it was no longer a free cancellation. Hell, I don’t know if I’ll own this house next summer!
Looking at my page this a.m., it’s popped back to the usual way it’s listed.
Seems they’re having difficulty deciding how it’s going to be.
Called back at a quieter time, but even the person I was elevated to was having difficulty understanding that the listing had been changed, but that I DIDN’T CHANGE IT. I guess now I’ll have to screenshot all my settings every time I change them?
They seem to be going to great lengths to avoid an admin cancel, which leads me to believe that these Philippine contractors are being penalized if they do them.
She will supposedly report back to me, which means that US approval is required. Since this is a booking for a year from now, it’s urgent, but I want it cancelled without any penalty.
