99% occupancy for 4 months with two rooms and feeling burned out

O please, she was absolutely right. You can write like this to your buddies but not for general public. I speak 5 languages and my grammar on some of them is pretty bad, but at this point i am l still learning and always will.
And some people here do not quite understand me but there is not much i can do about it. At least i do my best.
When person does not use punctuation on his native language its just pure laziness and nothing else.

Thanks for the apology although you then spoiled it by basically saying the same thing again in the next line. My first post was 5 lines long with two full stops one of the paragraphs on your first post was 4 lines long with 2 full stops i genuinely do not understand why that is wrong but here are some other punctuation marks please insert them in all my posts where appropriate.,./ā€™;ā€¦,??( )::;

The point is, professionalism. This is a public forum and can be viewed by anyone. It has good search engine presence too for anyone searching for Airbnb (i.e. potential guests!)

may b im wrong but if i wrote like this would u really think id be a good host and provide u with good professional service that u would love may b its just me being pedantic i dont know really but i dont care just u book and make me some $

In order to get bookings we have to communicate with our guests. They might be teenagers who use text-speak or they might be English professors, we donā€™t know.

Iā€™m not criticising anyone but in this game, I think itā€™s a case of best foot forward.

I feel for you. I tried a room swapping website called Roomswap, it was excellent! It didnā€™t require any hospitalities, guests cleaned my room and thrown garbage away by themselves when they checked out.

For some of us TWO cups of morning coffee are a requirement before posting in most forums in order to take things in a more light-hearted manner. :v:

I must have been in need of coffee and therefore a little cranky when I made my reply.

How did you guys know that my new morning routine is to sit on this forum and drink my coffee?

I understand your logic, but it bothers me. Instead of jacking up prices why not block out days. If this person is burnt out, then block out a day here and there. Not complicated.

Yana, personally I l-o-v-e your posts and misspellings because you try your best and you a-r-e communicating. You succeed in getting your message across to the reader because you spell phonetically, and it shows you are putting effort into it.

The purpose of writing is to communicate. If someone doesnā€™t care (operative word is "careā€™) whether the recipient is ā€˜understandingā€™ the message and just wants to write in a slovenly manner and not acknowledge or show appreciation when corrected, then so be it.

Disrespect begets disrespect.

I wash the sheets but I never ever iron them. I use 100% cotton percale and itā€™s pretty crinkly on the bed, but fresh as a daisy. No one has ever complained, but I do offer a low end priced shared room, even though itā€™s not really shared with anyone else. Bottom line is, guests know cleanliness.

Hi @Karen,

Well, now we need to see a photo of Miss Sophie! I consider myself a cat person, but unfortunately I am one of those people with allergies.

How pompous my original post was understood by everyone and maybe i dont have the level of education that that will get your respect. And maybe i should show more gratitude to people who correct me to boost there own ego and try to make me feel small. But my lack of education also means im not institutionalized in my thinking and i can see how pointless :,[]?>,. these are but i use the punctuationā€™s i use for you and others who cant think outside the boxes there education has stuffed them in. So that shows a lot of respect i dumb myself down for you and you think i dont care.

Hi @Karen,

Wow, sheā€™s so cute. What breed is she?

Are you talking to me?? I thought you were referring to somebody posting porn on your thread.

Uh oh, another one bothered by going off topic, clearly unfamiliar with the spirit of this forum @karen

Wow @Maggieroni,

Is that your kitty? And what is his or her name? Iā€™m going to guess itā€™s a she, but then Iā€™m notoriously bad at guessing. She (or he) looks pensive in this photo. Maybe she is trying to decide what channel to watch.

Yes, sheā€™s a female named Maggie after me lol! Itā€™s the only name she would respond to. She likes animal planet,! And football. Aka soccer

Does she greet guests too, like Miss Sophie? I havenā€™t had the pleasure of the aquaintance of many cats, but they seem to vary widely in personality. Like humans, I suppose.

Yes, sheā€™s a real people cat, gets in their laps, etc. we have even had people allergic stay with us and take their meds just to pet her!

I guess youā€™re right! Itā€™s not a hotel theyā€™re staying in! Bed linens are always fresh and clean and thatā€™s whatā€™s most important. I didnā€™t iron the sheets for guests arriving tonight, just went over duvet cover with iron after I made the bed and I feel a sense of relief and have more time! Lol
