@Magwitch. I think they are little rubber feet that you put on the underside of the toilet seat. The purpose is to ensure that when someone just drops the seat down it doesn’t make a loud bang. They are similar to the feet that are placed under glass used as table tops.

Thanks! I can see how they can lost in that case.
They dont come out that easy, I have to use a lever to get them out when cleaning so was a little amused when I found them both gone!
