As it happens, I have no intention of removing breakfast from my listing. I place all the items in their sitting room the night before, and then they don’t need to come down to my floors until they have had their coffee or tea, are dressed and fed. Works well for me and for my guests.

Didn’t think you were planning to - it was a hypothetical to demonstrate how you can use the word clouds to evaluate your hosting

I also think that this image, which most people understand immediately, makes it possible for a potential guest to quickly see the high points of a space’s reviews.

So Sandy, if you were to do this for your reviews, what word do you think will jump out the largest? I am amusing that is the one most used by people that have left reviews.

(waiting for some sassy answer)

@Mearns … Wait no longer, Freddy-boy!

However, there is no spoiler-alert here because I truly can’t say what word would be the most popular. The guests use so many of the same adjectives. What probably surprises me the most is that they use my name in every single review. I won’t take the time to look through all the reviews but I would say it is an accurate statement.

My name is a little unusual (thanks to my late mother!)…and no, it doesn’t include “Toes” or any other part of the anatomy, so it always surprises me to see the personal reference by both male and female guests.

And guess what…in the 6 yrs., I’ve never met a one of them.

That was fun!

Well, the platform uses our names constantly & so it’s a very effective strategy on their part. From the notifications, reminders, and prompts, “tell Sandy what you loved about her place”! I always use first names as well when I’m reviewing guests and I’m sure all of this functions to generate some “trust effect” when both guests and hosts are reading reviews.

Sandy if you did one of those Cloud things I bet, yes your name would be first but a close second perhaps be ‘endearing’.

(You’re a sweetie-leetie! I’m sooo glad I got up for a drink of water in the middle of the night. Hugs.)

Love it. The nicey nice ones are cute and fun and bring out the elementary school teacher in me, but yours also appeals to the cynic in me :)))))

My teacher one:

My one with “dogs” clearly visible. I don’t know why dogs don’t show up in the US shaped one.

I love them. Thanks for sharing. All you need to do now is get some Pledge so you can make it all perfect. :))))))))))))))

Did exactly the same reviews go into both of those word clouds?

I’m thinking the first one didn’t get as much of the copy and paste. Also two different generators. Top one is tagxedo, bottom one is Wordle. The second one is the one I put on my profile.

@KKC. I found that wordle included all words while the other generators choked on the words with the most occurrences. That is why I chose my Wordle word cloud.

I DO love the bursts of color!..the variety of fonts!..the layouts! It is uplifting to my soul! That fact that it has a purpose and message is fine but I am definitely a fan !of the graphic art aspect of it all!

@J_Wang …Now I’m curious what the most frequently used words are in your reviews for your Palm Desert(?) listing with the bed in the corner of your living room. Are you able to do one of those cloud program thing-y’s? No pressure.

Sandy, I rarely read my reviews. In fact I haven’t read any of them for a long time. I do my best for the price they are paying, which is rock bottom low. Most guests get that and are very appreciative when they see how nice my place is.

I do have 2 listings. One is the bed in the living room in the home where I live. The other listing is a Palm Desert condo that I rent “long distance”. That place rents for considerably more money so the fusspot/pickiness factor comes into play and people are more likely to crab about something. I have been lucky, though. So far! :)))

Super cool. I didn’t see the US Shape option!

Ah, now I see, it was a different ap. I used wordle. Quite fun! I do enjoy looking over past reviews, and remember the different souls that have passed through our doorway. It helps keep perspective - the big picture.

What’s a guest wall?
