Started VR in October 2018 after growing tired of full-time tenants and the drama involved. Somehow, tenants seem to expect more than guests. The latter are usually so appreciative of every little thing you provide while tenants come to expect everything.
Our plan is to cover the basic annual costs of our two-bedroom, two-bath guesthouse, insurance, taxes, utilities, etc. Not looking for end-to-end bookings, maximize profits, etc. Just some nice casual, low-key bookings. In 65 days of rentals we are 50% ahead of our goal and can basically shut down until Balloon Fiesta which has been booked for months in advance.
