What kind of kitchen knives in your place?

I have one of these, but I wouldn’t let a guest use it. :upside_down_face:

Haha. That’s funny.

No I meant something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pro-Sharpener-Professional-Accessory-Stainless-Steel/dp/B06WWMVSN9/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=knife+sharpener&qid=1577977461&sr=8-5

£13 on Amazon. Seems like a reasonable investment.

I have a one bedroom guest house and the kitchen doesn’t typically get used for more than breakfast and an occasional dinner. Most of my guests are going to restaurants.

With that said, I didn’t feel I need chef quality knive set, but I wanted to the replace the IKEA knives I originally bought when I started a couple of years ago.

A few months ago I picked this 5 knife set on sale at Costco for $20; I’m guessing they are the same as the ones you purchased. I liked them because each has a plastic blade guard that I keep on when they are in the drawer. I’ve not noticed a degradation yet, but then again they don’t get used all that often.

In addition to the honing steel that came with the knife set, this is what I actually put in my listing.

I don’t know what country you are from but I got my cooking knives from estate sales, thrift stores. They are old but very good quality, made i n the USA or japan. I would have no pb to use them at home.

I wouldn’t put anything expensive in there because some guests might break them, misplace them, throw them in the garbage and so on…
