Slow drain - wants refund

Kona, Since we are chatting, I cant get on the airbnb website on my desktop imac? I have given up on Chrome and are now trying with Safari. I can get some pages to load. I have cleared my history, called apple, called airbnb…its crazy!!! I can only get around on my iphone app? Any ideas? what the freak is going on??

Gee, I’m no computer whiz, but it does sound kind of like an operating system issue. Have you downloaded the latest update to the operating system? RepIred permissions in utilities? Restarted?

Non loading also sounds like it could be wifi related. Restart router and modem? Not in that order, though.

Yes, I did everything I could so I switched from Chrome to Safari to Firefox and firefox is working !!! Yea! **_:heart_eyes:

What OS are you running? I always update to the latest when I experience any sort of glitch or spinning pizzas.

Tell her no. If she had told you, you would have fixed it. It is probably draining slow because of hair (her hair!) in the drain. I don’t know about you, but I have a $3.00 tool from the hardware store that would take care of it. Her responsibility to let you know. Those are good, but nothing, I mean nothing… works better than a little dish soap down the drain! Try it!

In the very beginning, we are actively cultivating both online equity, and coping with a steep learning curve. You just invested $10 towards your education. From the amount of responses you are getting here, it sounds like it was well invested! :wink:

I am frankly more concerned about you caving. I understand the need in the beginning to keep yourself centered. However it’s equally important to recognize that this is your home. You ARE the product. She is a guest, and she runs the risk of a bad review from you, or even homelessness.

Sooner or later someone else will cross your boundaries. All of this will help you to define what yours are, both here and in other areas of your life. You may be firm in some areas, and find yourself being very tolerant in others. It’s what makes your listing unique!

Old thread I know but I wanted to chime in my plumber came out once to clear a clogged drain and told me to ditch the cheap stuff and use Dawn, I have never had another clog after that in the kitchen. I will start squirting it in the other drains after reading this.

Good to know that it’s ‘officially’ sanctioned by an expert. We have two rentals and guests in both have casually mentioned in a no-big-deal way that in both rentals the bathroom drain is very slow. This is an older building (built in 1949) so yes, the plumbing isn’t perfect but I’ve never found the drain to be slow. HOWEVER, in both, the shower is in the bathtub. Both bathtubs have those fitted plugs that can flop closed if you’re not careful (does that make any sense?)

Our listings cost three times that of the OP’s listing and no guest has ever asked for a refund because of the slow shower drain.
