I had a similar experience, which I won’t expand on, and yeah, lost SH after 2 years. I ranted to anyone who would listen. Curiously, they parked my total at 4.9.

Over 2 summers, I had 5 hosts. 2 were outstanding (one made beds for me because I threw my back out!), 1 was a noncommunicative 3rd party booking, 1 was meh, and one was an entitled Orange county multiple homes host who was ticked off she couldn’t find the AirBnB with a private bath she wanted on short notice at the peak of the season.
I used to worry about host bookings, but if they have good host and guest reviews, I’m glad to have them.
