Potential guest wants to see it before booking?

Dear KevinA,
Don’t do it. First, it’s against Airbnb policy to exchange personal info before confirming a booking, and they almost always catch and edit it out. Second, you don’t know their motive, could be something sinister.

Thanks all for the replies.
We replied back and just said we couldn’t accommodate a viewing and never heard back.
We are in a beach vacation area and our guests are generally 3-7 days. We don’t do long term, more than 10 days or so cause we often use the place too. We could see having a pre-view if it were for a longer term, but that’s not us. We use it a couple times a month for ourselves and not interested in hosting longer than interrupts our own use.

So, after moving on and thinking this person had moved on as well, for other reasons (to help increase bookings) we adjusted our IB to verified ID, email, phone and that did help. We have had more inquiries and bookings.
However, this same person that asked for a preview did IB today and said along with the booking - “We are 7 Christian sisters planning our yearly sister’s retreat.” His profile name is Antonio, and his pic is obviously male, so not a sister. He has no history. We responded - “Gotta ask - Your profile does not match the 7 sisters. Who is staying here?” What would you do next?

You could call AirBnB and have them cancel, stating that you are uncomfortable with this booking for two reasons: the profile pic is of a male that does not match the “7 sisters” request, or if he is booking for his “7 sisters”, then it’s a third-party booking and you won’t accept that, either.
I’d be tempted to cancel - it’s starting to smell like a party booking to me.
