I have a very similar parking arrangement at my house and my listing informs guests of the potential of getting cited for parking in the street. I would definitely not consider paying a guest’s parking ticket, not would I spend any of my time asking the city to waive the guest’s ticket.
If a negative review came from this, I’d fight it. Don’t give in. Your guest is definitely off base for suggesting you cover this.

Shock of shocks in how this all played out. These guests actually ended up giving us a 5 star review and good comments (not even mentioning the parking ticket) in their review. They haven’t sent a follow up message to us since so I’m just letting it naturally die down.
