My BF had a VW convertible waa-ay back when. He was always tinkering with it and lost the bolts holding the front passenger seat down. Whenever he accelerated, it caused my seat to tip all the way back with my legs flailing in the air and me shrieking. Those were the days.

I offer a refund, less $50 cancellation fee, up to whatever I make on a replacement booking. Then again last time it happened I got a booking on another site and kept both lots of money. Because I am sick of applying “The Golden Rule” to people who would happily cancel at the last minute using an excuse like: “my sister has just told me she is ill and I feel I should be with her and the refunded cost of accommodation will pay for my plane ticket which is quite a lot of money”. I’m sorry, I lost interest when you started talking about your family issues.
And because I am a bad person, obviously. Bwa ha ha ha!!!

I know what you mean. When you picture them canceling without a second thought or slamming you in a review after being nice to your face and how often it happens, you start to feel like reality bites.

At the same time I’ve just had my first bad experiences. Ugh.
