When they first rolled out instant book I resisted it. But then I noticed that I accept just about everyone that inquired so I didn’t see much of a difference. I have a high standard on who can IB, they have to have a complete profile and 1 other host review in order to do it. Thus, I still have to approve newbie guests that may not have a full understanding of the platform - and I really like having that touchpoint with new users.

Same here, I have IB turned on, with one of those filters, I think it’s the ‘must have been reviewed before’ filter
Please see my reply above to @Brandt , I was wrong about that, I was confusing it with Inquiries/requests and accepting and declining these…declines get you dinged by air. However, I do stand by (probably paranoia) the conviction that I would not want to go about cancelling people when I see fit (what’s the point of IB then?) b/c I am guessing that it somehow would figure into the ABB ranking algorithm. That’s just me though.
