Those of us who have been here awhile need to get into the habit of being more welcoming to new names that pop up. They may be people who have lurked awhile. They may have created a profile just to ask a question. They may become members of the community or they might “love us and leave us.”
As was suggested on another thread, just keep scrolling if you can’t say anything helpful. If you can’t answer the question posed then don’t answer at all. If its a question unworthy of an answer then it will be ignored, and the new person will go away feeling ignored instead of insulted.
At some point when they joined everyone should have seen the screen below. Just because you’ve been here years doesn’t mean these guidelines don’t apply to you.
