There is no logic to Airbnb. It takes them weeks or months to take down an illegal listing, yet long-standing 5* Superhosts get immediately suspended if a guest so much as whispers “cameras” or “unsafe”.
I once read a post by a homeowner who was at his wit’s end, as he had been alerted by someone that his house was listed on Airbnb. He wasn’t a host, it was a scam listing. He sent Airbnb his ownership documentation, and told them that there appeared to be bookings on the listing, and that guests would show up only to find out it wasn’t a rental home, but a scam. He had been arguing with Airbnb for weeks and I never did hear how it eventually turned out.
