Matching pillow slips and quilt cover AirBnB Plus

YES. The only sheets I’ve ever had ruined were the ones that guests had “cleaned” themselves.

I leave nice Biore make-up removing wipe packages at every bathroom sink. A lot of females won’t bother to use it and their face ends up on the pillow but it happens less often when there is a GOOD way to remove the make-up. The cheap make-up remover wipes don’t get touched at all.

I’m also using all high quality 100% cotton white sheets. They wash better than cheaper sheets so they actually come clean. I put Samsclub regular laundry detergent plus a half scoop of Biz in every load and about 1 cup of vinegar. I never use bleach.

If there’s a lipid or protein stain such as blood, grease, make-up etc - I wash it cold. I pre-treat the stains with Biz or Zout. Lately I’ve been spot treating with ammonia. Its very effective! If I get a towel thats just like totally wrecked, I might just wash it with a cup of ammonia and no vinegar and then again another time with vinegar and not ammonia. The two cancel eachother out but they get out different types of stains. Vinegar works well on dirt and grime.

I also use duvet covers with duvet inserts so I can just wash the cover separate from the duvet. Its not necessarily less expensive but its a smaller item to wash in the washing machine.

Back to the OP…

Matching pillow cases, sheets AND comforter? Sounds like a bed in a bag. Not what I expected. Unless it’s white, if one piece is damaged or you find the perfect pastel match you have to replace everything.

It’s stuff like this that keeps me away from applying for the Plus rating.

For filtered water I added a Britta pitcher. Our local tap water is great, but I get some guests who get pale when I mention drinking tap water. I put a few bottles of water in the fridge too

Thanks KKC - makes sense to me too. The white linen/sheets

Thank-you. happy that does the trick. a little stressed by the whole assessment as not sure how strict they are.

We have white down filled duvets here. All the sheets are white. So are the walls and ceilings. Come to think of it, it looks like a morgue. But it cleans up in a jiffy, and with lighting, flowers etc you can make it very versatile. But Plus layouts look more like Ikea to me. And that’s another story.
