OMG! Too long even for a dating profile!!
That’s exactly what I was thinking!
Funny
Did she have reviews?
Push eject! TMI
is she writing a book?
Sounds just a tad high maintainance…
I just realized who she reminds me of. There’s someone I know who is always posting on Facebook about “the masses,” and how his lifestyle and tastes are so different from theirs.
The thing is that he is an IT guy who works 9-5 in a cubicle and waits overnight in the line in front of the Apple Store each time they come out with a new product. That sounds like “the masses” to me. Most people are part of “the masses,” myself included. Nothing wrong with it.
Jaquo- no reviews. must be 20 characters
I don’t know what exactly Air tells guests to say about themselves when creating a profile. Maybe there is a list of recommended topics and she decided to cover every single one mentioned, and cover it thoroughly. Or maybe a friend of hers is a host and said the more you share about yourself, the more likely your requests will be accepted.
I stopped reading here. Scaaaary! She’s admitting she’s a hotel person with high expectations. Ok I read just a little bit more…she likes the Game of Thrones so she must be ok
And she’s trashing her friends’ and family’s taste! She has a very high opinion of herself.
“Dear Guest - thank you for your lengthly profile. It’s great that you’ve provided so much information about yourself! However, all those details - that you like a perfect, luxurious environment - gives me concern that my home won’t meet your expectations”
(not to mention that you admit you break rules!!!)
I doubt very much that even a Newbie hosts will accept her! YET another reason why I don’t have instant book on. Her profile screams 3 star high maintenance guest that will ding you on the little things, no thanks!
Hell she scared me so much I went and viewed my profile just to make sure we don’t promote red flags ourselves.
@cabinhost
Here’s what Airbnb suggests, gosh this isn’t Facebook, so ridiculous
Airbnb is built on relationships. Help other people get to know you.
Tell them about the things you like: What are 5 things you can’t live without? Share your favorite travel destinations, books, movies, shows, music, food.
Tell them what it’s like to have you as a guest or host: What’s your style of traveling? Of Airbnb hosting?
Tell them about you: Do you have a life motto?
stupid . UGH Air need a person in their 40-50-60 to tell the team what NOT to do.
Thanks for finding that! Now it all makes sense. I had a feeling she was prompted to share those things. I guess the traveler is thorough.
She did follow the script no doubt; ad nauseum.
Eye roll…
Good advice! Thanks for sharing.
