Right? Anytime someone comes on host forums asking for “pain points” it’s guaranteed they’re spamming and selling their unique services.
Me, for example.
What’s funny to me is that the OP assumes that we use various ‘tech’ if the title of the post is anything to go by. The only ‘tech’ I use is the iphone which is able to do everything I need. I don’t need anything else ‘to make hosting easier’. And I run two and a half apartments pretty easily. (The half is a neighbour’s place that I co-host for about half a year).
I suppose if I have one. it’s cleaning the toilets and I can’t imagine any ‘tech’ that could do that for me. ![]()
I guess that software developers are of the idea that everything being done automatically through tech is what everyone would prefer.
I was just reading yesterday about what is being called the “Gen Z stare”- A blank stare when putting a question to them, or just being friendly by saying “Hi, nice day, isn’t it?” in passing, because they don’t know how to relate to others or make polite chitchat with other humans, due to their addiction to social media and other tech.
One could live their whole life these days without ever leaving the house or talking to anyone else in person. Working online, texting with friends and family, ordering everything you need online and having it delivered, ordering food on Doordash or Ubereats. The marijuana dispensaries in Canada even have delivery service.
And I don’t mind cleaning the toilets, but if there was an app that pulled hair covered in soap scum out of the shower drains, I’d use it.
I’m with you there, @muddy. Loos, hair in drains, toothpaste spat onto the sink - bathrooms are the worst!
