I would be very very concerned about how much “stuff” this girl has. It’s been a while since I read this thread…so without scrolling back through every post - why is this girl in your area? Is all of her “stuff” slowly being moved into your place from storage?
Oh, and the rep. saying that Air will pay for damages means absolutely nothing. They will all say that. But did you specifically ask if they would pay for damages caused by animals? You should google their host guarantee and read the fine print to find out what is included and excluded. If you see anywhere that animal damages is excluded, then just say “stains” in general.
I’d go ahead and plan to cancel and see if Air will offer a new place to stay. Do not assume Air is going to let you keep any money for nights she didn’t stay. They tricked another host into accepting their verbal offer of a partial refunding saying “it will be easier to get the guest out if you offer blah blah amount.” The reps. can easily offer the guest money, it doesn’t have to come out of the host’s pocket. Why in the world does Air collect all these service fees then? They need to use that money instead of taking from a host who already has to deal with damages.
Keep us posted. BTW - have you googled the background on this person? And where was she living before she arrived at your place? Do you know if she was kicked out of there?
