We should have a Topic that stands out on its own with this and other key info. After nearly a year, we didn’t know #1 on that list and try to stay on top of things.

Its happened to me many times. They know they broke something, we find it, ask for money, then they leave us a bad review because they assume we are leaving a bad review for them!

I so understand your perspective and am one of those who do fully intend to request compensation for damages from guests. I understand that there will be lots of people that will not want to be my guests because of that and I am glad. I am happy to support the respectful, rule following, communicative guests. I always prefer to be able to leave glowing reviews.
