Bahahaha so true. My partner (the David in “lisaanddavid”) hates this so much that after every guest who sprays (which is a good 60% of the men) I have to talk him down from wanting to lower a guest’s rating on the grounds that they stand to pee. And every time I have to remind him that wiping urine off ceramic is literally the easiest part of cleaning the apartment.

If one is that concerned about urine spray, seems a whole lot easier and quicker to travel with a pack of disinfecting wipes and just wipe down the toilet seat, lid and handle, rather than go searching around with a black light. If you find some urine with the black light, you’re going to do that anyway.
And if it’s your own rental, don’t hosts disinfect the toilet and wash the floor between guests as standard practice? What does it matter where exactly there might be urine spray?
