I agree that some hosts have an unrealistic idea of both how long it takes to clean, and how much is reasonable to pay for a job well-done. I don’t think you will find many hosts on this forum with that attitude, though.
My listing is just a private room/private bath in my home and I clean it myself. There is almost no furniture to move around, and the surfaces are easy to clean. It takes me an hour and a half to clean and prepare that space.
Yet I have read posts on other forums where a host thinks their cleaner should be able to clean a 1 bedroom apartment in less than an hour, or say they clean a space the size of mine in half an hour.
Meaning they are doing a half-a**ed job.
