Help please. ELock app only not allowed

I’ve searched Airbnb help. I’ve search this site. There was a discussion any lock requiring app only access was against Airbnb smart lock rules. I can’t find the thread & can’t find it in Airbnb help.

Can someone please direct me to the thread or Airbnb rules link

@aelilya is fast on the draw! Yeah that should be what you are looking for.

My understanding is there needs to be “a non app way”, if the guest wants. So, as long as you can assign a code etc, any smart lock “should be ok”. The language to me is that it can’t be “app required” to gain entry.
