Guests who made you change how you do things at your Airbnb

My adult kids and their families came for 10 days over Xmas this year. 3 of them are teenagers. It was a constant cooking and food prep scene.
After they left, I couldn’t find my nice vegetable peeler anywhere so went and bought a new one.
I found the original 2 months later when digging out my outdoor compost bin. Someone had obviously just pushed it off the counter into the kitchen compost pail with a pile of peelings and food waste.

Guests have caused me to add some seemingly ridiculous rules to the House Rules. For instance, “no dyeing hair or fabrics”, after two separate incidents with guests dyeing their hair. One guest’s hair dye left a purple ring in the tub and we had to have the tub refinished because it proved to be impossible to remove.

No cooking foods with a strong odor was added after guests who stayed a week cooked curry non-stop and left the house so permeated with the odor it took a week and a commercial grade ozone machine to tame the smell.

Some people are just clueless.
