You don’t seem to understand the need for proof that you even owned the items. So, not covered by insurance, sub-letting in violation of your lease, no way to prove you own anything. If Airbnb remimbursed everyone who simply claimed they were robbed but offered no evidence, they would soon be out of business.
Airbnb was originally set up for people to stay in homes with their hosts, not for hosts to merely trust to good luck that their homes would be safe when they weren’t there keeping an eye on things. Yes, you were naive - you should have done your research.
Your homeowners insurance won’t but your STR insurance might - assuming that you can prove that these items did exist and were stolen from you. But nevertheless, you’d have to show that your negligence wasn’t a factor.
