That’s not likely to happen. They are still allowed (encouraged/required) to leave that for same day cancellations where they never showed up as well.
@DozerPug It’s supposed to be within 24-hours of check-in time (which I believe is 3:00 pm your local time if you don’t have a set check-in time). They change things all of the time but I had to cancel someone about a month ago and it was 2 days before check-in so I confirmed this at that time to make sure she wouldn’t be able to review.
If you can’t find any lies or review extortion, then you’ll just have to live with the review. I’d respond: “This person never stayed at my listing” as a response.

@JJD Even if you find lies Airbnb says this is not a violation of their TOS and thus will not take it down.
