It’s possible guests don’t want to stink up the living room or the bedroom with leftovers in a trash can. Are the trash cans the ones with tight-fitting lids?
True. I once had to explain this to my irate other half when a translated review had referred to him as ‘she’.
Common sense ain’t sensing. Ok there are no lids on the trash cans so lets flush it down the toilet. Lol
If a guest has leftovers and has to put it into an open trash can in their bedroom or the common area, I can see they might decide to flush it if there is no other option.
Perhaps you could get trash cans with tight-fitting lids and see how that works. Or a trash can with a tight-fitting lid in the common area and put a sign to put their leftovers in that can. Either are cheap things to try.
You might be surprised at what happens.
Yes, Spanish is a language with gendered nouns, articles, and pronouns. I am not inclined to give this guest the benefit of the doubt considering his other behavior, unless OP would like to share the original text. Probably not worth parsing as AirBnB is unlikely to remove the review. This guest had a problem with Share’s identity and diversity signage, dinged her on the review, and used racist language to describe her personality. Unfortunately I don’t really foresee AirBnB enforcing it’s own anti-discrimination policies in the current climate and with its DOGE board member.
Wow! Just wow! Like I said commonsense doesn’t grow in every garden.
There’s actually nothing wrong with flushing some leftover food down the toilet, unless of course it’s a big piece of something that will clog it up. Toilets have 4 inch diameter piping- I flush leftovers down the toilet sometimes.
A sink is different- they usually have 2 inch piping, so are far more suseptible to getting clogged.
I agree, by Airbnb allowing this guest to demean my identity in which I celebrate as Black pride is irresponsible and dangerous. This is my personal home and I have Black pride decor and my ancestors displayed throughout my personal home. Black pride is considered a threat here in American. I am a target.
My Foursquare house is 125 years old. No you will not flush food down my toilet. I ask all my guests to have home training and this action is not it. I have signs in the bathroom too.
