Kona ! Thank you so much for your solid, sensible advice. I appreciate your stance completely and also very much appreciate you standing up for the Host and making sure the newbies don’t get taken advantage of or give the idea to guests that they can walk all over us.
Note: I just edited this part of my reply to remove all the personal reasons on my behalf why I felt a refund was the thing to do because clearly I am a softy.
News Flash… the son broke his leg 5 day BEFORE she booked. With a prognosis of 6 to 8 weeks on crutches.
Busted his leg June 12th - Accommodation booked June 17th with stay happening July 10th.
In email just received from guest.
",Mary as mentioned in my previous e-mail, my son injured his foot and is on crutches since June 12th. Doctor said it can take somewhere from 6-8 weeks for this to heal."
The only information I received prior was that son was injured, nothing else.
Time for me to put another call into AirBnB.
