Got my first crazy guest

I’ve never said anything to my guests about perfume but some of them do wear way too much.

When they leave I do an extra cleaning and sometimes it’s really hard to get rid of.

But I also burn a bit of incense a few times a week plus something is almost always blooming around me.

Not crazy about men’s cologne but it’s not it doesn’t bother me.

I think I have seen commercials for lawyers advertising their service re: pelvic mesh. I don’t know what it is though.

Yes, supposedly some people are allergic to electricty, wifi, or whatever you call it. This woman in England can’t use her electric kettle:

In the case of my guests. She can talk all day using her cell phone. Have FOX news going all day on te TV and use her computer.

I agree. It creates additional drama to respond, and that said, I think she may be able to get this one removed.

I love the natural scents that are actually essential oils–which are from natural sources: eucalyptus, camphor, cedar, etc. Otherwise I’m a big pain in the you know what about perfume :))) I love pawing over all the hand-cut soaps at Whole Foods

I could be wrong but I believe it’s for hernia. I had a hernia fixed after my kids were born and the doctor told me if stitching didn’t hold I’d have to get mesh.

The mesh can be used for hernias but it’s also used for a distended bladder, which occurs in some women after childbirth.

Take 2 aspirin and call me in the morning …

You know what’s funny is you see all these ads for Rx drugs… And then in short order you see the ambulance chaser ads for the same drugs.

I was once a copywriter for the advertising agency of a big pharmaceutical company. We copywriters hate the mandatory FDA disclosures more than anyone! Sometimes we would have to write more disclosure than actual copy! Great paying job but… It was writing pharmaceutical ads. Not too creatively fulfilling!

True ~ and unless the host is a proficient writer, a lengthy response puts the host at risk of sounding equally whacko.

Less is more. I’ve paired down my reviews to one or 2 short sentences. “Wonderful guest. Welcome back any time.”

Yes, that was so odd - and she had a number of reviews in which she had cancelled the reservation - all looked weird.

Pelvic mesh was a surgical mesh used in surgeries for pelvic hernias that was defective. I know about this because my husband had a pelvic hernia and the recalled mesh was used in his surgery. So far, thankfully, he isn’t having any problems.

I’m allergic to almost everything, and one of my worst experiences was moving into my current flat with new furniture and laminate floor. Intense sinus headaches while my eyes swelled so I could hardly see. This went on for the first few weeks until the off gassing wore off. I’ve had it happen before with my ex partner’s new sofa and I also get it from things made from PVC like inflatable mattresses, but also regular new mattresses. My current mattress was hand made for me, and I was allowed to go to the factory and dip my nose into the stuffing to see if I’d react before I placed my order. It’s no fun, but the gasses do wear off along with their chemical smell. My flat is fine now! So yeah… this lady is probably a bit nuts to say the least.

If I could ban the use of Axe [actually all those chemical body sprays] then I would! The stink lingers for days after the guest, yuck! But too many people use them and I can’t be too picky with guests. Sigh… To me it makes them dirty guests, as they are essentially smelly people.

I finally called Air BnB today to see if her review could be rremoved.

Very nice woman helped me and said that they don’t normally remove reviews but after she read the review she agreeded that this woman is crazy and would send it up to whoever it is that can remove a review. I will get an email letteing me know if they will remove it or not.

Yay! Now did they quote which policy she breached?

Or did they just agree she was crazy?

But they’ve also removed your negative review on her profile, so the next host doesn’t get to see that either :frowning:

Air BnB didn’t say which policy she breached.

Too bad abouth them also removing my review. I feel bad for her next host.

Well there is that first bad review that will deter most hosts. And will deter Teri in the future!
