One is enough. I figure if some host out there is bothered enough to write a negative review then the guest is a bad bet.

Well, there are some nutty hosts out there too. So Iâd consider one negative review to be a case where there is room for reasonable doubt. Then again, negative reviews are so rare on Airbnb Iâm generally inclined to take them seriously.

Iâve met several people like that. Avid hikers, fitness instructors, etc, who smoke.
Yes, only one bad review before mine so I was referring to reviews but not as in more than one.
Here is our conversation. Lesson learned.
"I think I have found everything. You seem to have removed a bunch of stuff from the room and placed them in draws and the closet. Why would you take the geode and hide it in a draw? You even took the pad off the bed. Spent about twenty minutes trying to find everything.
There are scuff makes all over the floor from you dragging the furniture around. Those will come off with a hard scrubbing when I mop the floor so it isnât a big deal.
What is a big deal is the smell of cigarette smoke in the room. The bed now reeks of cigarette smoke as does the whole room. Donât know if you broke my rules by smoking in the room or if you are so saturated of the cigarette smoke that it got on everything . Now I have to figure out how to get this smell out of everything before my next guest.
You have caused me a bunch of work and aggravation. Just like someone said you would in your reviews.

No worries, just making sure.
Room looks exactly like the pic and was just thoroughly cleaned today. All bedding, including the comforter, plus towels were washed after a guest left today. Plus the floors were vacuumed and mopped.
I have cats, but no litter box as they have cat doors so go out in my backyard for that.

I certainly do not expect you to re-clean. It looks very clean. Nor remove anything. But some of the people on AirBnB donât have realistic pics on the site. That is why I ask you the questions.
Gloria has a stunning house on the golf course but the mother-in-law suite is neglected and does not match the pics on the site. Gloria was less than honest. I will have to write the truth about her but I donât like to disparage people. She has a different definition of clean than most. The suite was extremely dirty, cockroaches in the bathtub and on the bed, black mold, dog poop outside the door, etc.

Iâm also a bit concernedâ about this past review on you.
âshe made us clean the room thoroughly again (even though it was already cleaned for her) with her own cleaning products, and then take all the pillows, bathroom products and everything on the closet out of the room. A lot of extra work at a very low rate. She is a bit needy, demanding and requires a lot of attention.â
The room is cleaned and everything is washed after each guest. Do not expectâ me to reclean the room and start removing stuff.

My house has porcelain tile throughout the entire house. It is about 12 years old. House was built in 1952 so it is an older house with baths and kitchen upgraded.
It would not be possible for you to see my house as you would not know the address until after booking.

Hi Terri, Just checking to see if tile floors are manufactured tile because some of them have a chemical coating that bothers me. I had black mold in my house earlier this year and ever since I am more sensitive to floors. Ridiculous, I know. But better to know in advance. I intend to book for 3 days but will probably stay longer. I love animals and am not allergic to cats.
The place looks great. Just want to verify there are no synthetic wood floors in the main living area. By looking at the kind of floors in the bedroom, I doubt it but want to be sure cause I am allergic to laminates.

Very uncomfortable experience. Host was rude, dismissive, disrespectful. Place was dirty. Black mold on property directly adjacent to windows in room. A health hazard. Wet cat jumped on bed on sheets and she would not wash them. Said they were washed day before. Heavy smell of incense when enter. Gargoyles on mantel. Crystals in bedroom. Almost daily robberies and car breakins in neighborhood but says on profile âsafe neighborhoodâ. Uploaded photos of all of this to Airbnb. Not sure how there are so many rave reviews. Paid for minimum 3 days but left after 2.

You broke my rules by smoking in the house so I had the rent a steam cleaner to get the smell of smell out of the room. You broke the stopper on the sink and then when I used a drop of glue on it you freaked out that I had used glue. Iâm also missing a towel and rolls of toilet paper from the room. I have no control over my neighborâs fence and that is what a wooden fence looks like. Donât understand what your issue with my neighborâs fence was. It states that I have cats in my discription. You let a cat in your room. He was in there for less than one minute and was not wet. All the bedding was washed the day before you arrived as it always is for all my guests so there was no need to wash everything again because a cat was in your room for a minute. So what that I have âGargoyles on mantel. Crystals in bedroomâ? You also said that your were allergic to electricity and my house does have electricity. My neighborhood is in an upscale very safe neighborhood but like any neighborhood we do have a problem with kids stealing things from unlocked cars and houses so this is why I have an alarm system and asked you to please stop leaving the windows open when you leave. In fact the only reason that the windows were pome is because you had me turn off the A/C and open them. As far as " Heavy smell of incense when enter" I do use cleaning products that most people find pleasant. Plus I sometimes light a stick on the fireplaceâs mantel but it had been over a week since I lit an incense.
