British, along with dark wedgy fries.
I prefer my fries (on the rare occasion I allow myself to eat them now) with ketchup enhanced with a few drops of a good hot sauce, EXCEPT when served as fish & chips, in which case I will use malt vinegar. I never tried vinegar on fries until my first trip to Britain, back in the 70s, when fish & chips shops were a reliable place to find a quick meal that wasn’t McDonalds.
Thick cut chips fried in dark oil with malt vinegar and a touch of salt. Born this n Manchester. Purists park them between slices of bread and butter.
Meanwhile, Ukrainians like chips with. … mayonnaise!!!
Ooh, mayo is good stuff especially with some Lowry’s seasoning salt mixed in. Yum!
Just a quick update for you. After 4 nights with the window open, and lavish use of vinegar, it’s now possible to use that room without coughing or eyes watering. Cheers!
Any Quebçois here? Poutine: Pommes Frite with cheese curds (uncured cheese) covered with a light gravy. It has spread from Canada across the upper tier of US states as popular pub grub.
Try to boil lemon peels
I do this all the time!
Why would I do that? I’m not the one who said they needed to get rid of bad odors.
Ozone machine! You can get one on Amazon for around $100 or less. It also works if someone smokes in your space! Do NOT use more toxic things like ammonia or other scented products to try to cancel out or cover up the smell. You will only make things worse. Also, very dangerous!
You are saying that an ozone machine is more dangerous than ammonia? If that’s what you are saying, that’s wrong.
Ozone works well. However, it is dangerous, and must be well vented. It works particularly well on mold and dampness. Vinegar, time, patience, and a keen assortment of 4 letter words, did the trick here. It still smells faintly, but it is manageable.
Sorry!!! I wasn’t clear!!! The scented products are dangerous! The ozone machine needs to run in an empty space and then you have to air that out but as long as you follow directions it is very safe. That is what cruise ships, hotels, etc use when guests smoke.
Thanks for the clarification.
Sorry, i didnt mean to reply on your comment
There are fogger bombers you can use that will remove pretty much any smell. I’ve unfortunately had the same problem
