What are your feelings about guests frying turkeys this week? Speaking of whole house rentals with kitchens and grills. Frying the turkey has become soooo popular in the South.
Open topic.
I would not allow guests to deep fry a turkey in my listing. There is too much danger of fire.
agreed!..saying that we don’t have turkeys )…and not sure I want a huge deep fat fryer at my place…oil getting everywhere…
The cardiac surgeons must be loving this trend
As it’s done outside, I wouldn’t worry too much about the oil being messy. I would worry about the house burning down.
guess that’s a no then )
fried turkeys don’t sound…healthy )
GUmmmm what about on the concrete around the pool? They did not ask… so I never had an opportunity to say no. Surprised they did not ask permission
Please excuse my errors and brevity from typing
I don’t have a pool or any concrete in my yard. As hot oil can splash on a flammable object even on concrete the only person I would allow to deep fry a turkey in my yard is Alton Brown.
I loved that episode!
And since we have meandered into Alton Brown, my second favorite episode is the one where he builds a smoker out of a Terra Cotta planting pot and smokes some salmon.
Guys - this is completely off topic, but I have a concern and want to post, but cannot for the life of me find out how to start a new post? Pls help!
This video if from an insurance co.
Personally, I wouldn’t allow guests to deep fry a turkey at my home!
and then there’s this one;
We used Alton Browns browning method last night and the turkey came out fabulous!!! The best ever!!!
I saw a bunch of these videos yesterday…I don’t think this is a good idea for most people!!
Uhmmmmmmm… that is the other piece of the issue. Not their house. They will dump it anywhere they think they can which is a horrifying thought.
Why is this such a trend??? Deep frying turkey. Isn’t this holiday caloric enough?
How would you know if they dont ask? Do we just approach this topic on T-day ahead of time?
