Have my first request for booking - it’s one day rental for the upcoming Saturday night. The person requesting to book just joined AirBnB and has no previous reviews. I am thinking the risk that this might be a party is high. I have asked for more information from the person trying to book… what other wisdom do you all have?

If a whole listing hope you have CCTV
I wouldn’t allow whole home bookings for one night on a weekend unless I lived on site or nearby and could monitor in person. But if you need the money, then yes, ask for more information, reiterate your no party rules and make it clear to them their reservation will be canceled if they violate the rules.
If you don’t live where you can see the property, do you have cameras or at least a neighbor that can watch for you?
Yes - cameras on the outside of the property and I’ll be about 30 minutes away so I could go there if there appeared to be a problem. Also was thinking about meeting them there for check-in.
A one nighter on a Saturday sounds like a party to me.
Often by telling them you’re doing in person check ins and asking some questions, they will just move on to the next host.
I think you need to trademark this.
Such a simple expression but the context can be changed by deleting or changing one letter
The problem solved itself. I asked the original request-er for more information and while waiting for him to respond, someone else with multiple positive reviews booked it. What are the odds? Must have been a big night for making weekend plans. Thanks for your input; it will be helpful going forward.
My bad! … I assumed I was responding to him since I’m so used to that as his reply.
