I went with a local theme – DC/Northern Virginia. Mostly artwork/photos, and some dinnerware (you can drink from a mug with the presidential seal). So I didn’t really spend extra on it. I do have a set of meticulously hand painted glasses for VA, DC, MD and “America,” with state flowers & birds, famous sites, and famous people, but that was a gift I repurposed. I was dusting one day and to my dismay noticed that the VA glass had a tiny portrait of Robert E. Lee. Great, just the microaggression a Black guest needs when trying to relax with a glass of beer or whatever. That glass has been retired!
